introduction what is the shift planning tool? the shift planning tool allows staffers to create and edit the default roster for both shift and non shift employees in addition to the default roster staffers will be able to manage events and shift patterns the shift template editor can be found in the top toolbar in roster please note users must be granted the correct permissions to access this feature important reminders all changes made in the shift planning tool will not go into affect unless published staffers can publish at any point by selecting 'publish' in the top right hand corner please pay careful attention when publishing, users will be able to select what changes to publish only select the changes you made as others may be in the midst of editing as well when publishing be sure to review the warning and change log presented, this will give users a thorough run down of what the published changes will cause this can include but is not limited to cancelled time off, shift trades, overtime staffing, and the like users will also have the option to discard their changes, resetting the changes made this only works before publishing, once published there is no undo function
